What needs to happen is a free register service. If deviantart could act as one, I think that could possibly be the "registers" that the private sector will have to create.
I can see why they are making it, but it is true how it can be used by companies to loophole it. There needs to be more safety nets for artists and everyone.
It also highlights how we must copyright all our work and make it easier to be contacted.
I think DA has that ability and companies should use DA to their advantage!
